260‘Natural Treasures’. A modern exhibit featuring fresh foliage. Width 1ft 6in./45cm. Novice Class
262‘Street Party’. An exhibit using fresh plant material. Open to pupils attending a Primary School in 2023. Width not to exceed 2ft.

NOTE: NAFAS rules need not be adhered to - simply read the schedule carefully and pay particular attention to size and use of material.

Classes 250-257 are open to all.
Classes 258-260 are for novices and exhibitors who have never won a prize in the Novice Section.
Class 261 for secondary school pupils.
Class 262 for primary school pupils.
Classes 263 for Scottish Association of Young Farmers' members.

Exhibit
Is composed of natural plant material in all its forms, with or without accessories, contained within a space as specified in a show schedule. Backgrounds, bases, containers, drapes, exhibit titles and mechanics may also be included in an exhibit, unless otherwise stated.
More than one placement may be included, unless otherwise stated. In all exhibits, natural plant material must be predominant.
Accessories
Anything other than natural plant material in an exhibit such as feathers, shapes (e.g. spheres, cones) shells, stones, wax candles. Should be in pristine condition. Be in harmony with the rest of the exhibit. Make a valid contribution to the interpretation of the class title and the design. Be in scale with all the other components in the exhibit and with each other. Be well incorporated and not predominate over the plant material.

ADDITIONAL RULES FOR SECTION 19:
1.Exhibits can be staged in the Industrial Section of the Marquee from 5pm on Saturday 29th July 2023 to 9.30am on Sunday 30th July 2023.
2.Please enclose name and address within an envelope and place envelope on the bottom left corner of the exhibit.
3.All Flower Arrangement entries must be made on the Entry Schedule, signed by the intending Exhibitor and returned to the Secretary not later than Saturday 15th July 2023..
