Singles or Pairs open to all showing competitors, driving a non-traditional vehicle that would be driven every day for exercise. Pneumatic tyres are allowed. Lamps need not be carried. Showing class judged on the suitability of driver, vehicle, harness and horse - i.e. neat, tidy, workmanlike and safe. Turriff Show is affiliated to the British Driving Society. Points are awarded for the highest placed turnouts driven by a BDS member and count towards the Whitehall Cup and the Chairman's Cup. The British Driving Society present a Championship Rosette for the Driving Champion. Classes 227 and 228 are qualifiers for the 2013 Osborne Refrigerators BDS National Championships. The highest placed turnout owned and driven by a member of the British Driving Society and eligible for the (a) single hackney-type; (f) single purebred Registered Welsh Ponies - Section C; (i) Pairs and Tandems - Open, Any height; (l) single turnout driven to a two-wheel exercise vehicle: (o) single turnout driven to a traditional type vehicle by a young driver aged 10-14 years; (p) single turnout driven to a traditional type vehicle by a young driver aged 15-17 years; (q) Single Turnout Driven to an exercise vehicle by a young driver aged 10-14 years; (r) Single turnout driven to an exercise vehicle by a young driver aged 15-17 years; disregarding those already qualified down to 6th place (10th place for type - Sections (o)-(r)) in the class, will qualify for the 2013 semifinals. The Championship will immediately follow the semi-finals.
