SHETLAND PONIES - MINIATURE
Entry Money - Members £4, Non-members £8 per Entry. Free entry for foals. Prize Money: 1st £35; 2nd £27; 3rd £20; 4th £15; 5th £10; 6th £5 All exhibitors in Classes 218 and 219 will receive a Rosette. Please note that ponies can only be entered in one class with the exception of Classes 218 and 219. Class 212. Stallion or Gelding, 4 years old and over, under 34in. 213. Colt or Filly, 2 or 3 years old, under 34in. 214. Mare with Foal at foot, 4 years old and over, under 34in. 215. Foal, progeny of Mare in previous class. 216. Colt, Gelding or Filly, 1 year old, under 34in. 217. Yield Mare, 4 years old and over, under 34in. 218. Young Handlers, for children aged 10 years old and under on the day of the Show. 219. Young Handlers, for children aged 11-14 years on the day of the Show. RULES 1. Classes must be confined to registered ponies. Ponies must be named on the entry form. Society rosettes must only be given to ponies registered with the Society or eligible for registration (i.e. foals). 2. 3 year old fillies with foals at foot may not be shown. All foals must be a minimum of 3 weeks old on the day of the Show. 3. There must be no colts or stallions in Young Handlers classes. Children under 14 years old may not show colts (excluding foals) or stallions in In-hand classes. In the interests of safety, hard hats must be worn by all handlers aged 14 years or under in In-hand classes. SPECIAL PRIZES CHAMPION PRIZE, presented by Stuart Stephen, Esq., President of the Association for the Best Miniature Shetland Pony in the Show. The Association presents a Perpetual Cup to the Champion in this Section. The Association presents £50 to the exhibitor of the Champion Animal. Rosettes presented by the Shetland Pony Stud Book Society to Champion and Reserve, Best Foal, Junior Champion and Reserve and Best Young Handler, entered or eligible for entry in the Shetland Pony Stud Book. Rosettes presented by GEMS for Highest Placed Pony, owned by a member of GEMS in classes 212-217. (GEMS members must wear their membership badges in the ring). North of Scotland Shetland Pony Group presents a Perpetual Trophy for the Junior Champion. North of Scotland Shetland Pony Group presents a Perpetual Trophy for the Best Foal. Perpetual Trophy presented by Ann Irvine, Haybrake Stud, Rothienorman for Best Miniature Shetland Pony bred by exhibitor. |
