Horse or Pony over 138cms, with rider 17 years and under on 1st January of the current year. 138. Pony 138cms and under with rider 12 years and under on 1st January of the current year. The above classes are confined to members of Deveron & District, Bennachie and East Aberdeenshire Branches of the Pony Club. Ponies/Horses to be ridden in snaffle bridles. Proof of membership. Entry Form must be signed by District Commissioner. Winners of Classes 137 and 138 cannot qualify for the Championship. Classes 139-144 will be judged under BSpS rules. 139. The BSPS Leading Rein Pony, Mare or Gelding, 4 years old and over, not exceeding 122 cms. Riders not to have attained their 8th birthday before 1st January in the current year. 140. The BSPS First Ridden Pony, Mare or Gelding, 4 years and over, not exceeding 122 cms. Riders not to have attained their 10th birthday before 1st January in the current year. 141. The BSPS Best Show Pony, Mare or Gelding, 4 years old and over, exceeding 138 cms. and not exceeding 148 cms. Riders not to have attained their 17th birthday before 1st January in the current year. 142. The BSPS Best Show Pony, Mare or Gelding, 4 years old and over, exceeding 128 cms. and not exceeding 138 cms. Riders not to have attained their 15th birthday before 1st January in the current year. 143. The BSPS Best Show Pony, Mare or Gelding, 4 years old and over, not exceeding 128 cms. Riders not to have attained their 13th birthday before 1st January in the current year. 144. The BSPS Mixed Height Open Show Hunter Pony Mare or Gelding 4 years old or over, not exceeding 153cms. Riders must be the correct age for the height of the animal they ride. BSPS SUMMER CHAMPIONSHIP This Show is a qualifier for the 2014 BSPS Championships Show to be held at Arena UK. The 1st and 2nd prizewinners in Classes 139 - 143 and 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th in Class 144 will qualify for the BSPS Championships Show, provided the animal is registered in accordance with rule 23 and ridden by a BSPS member. Rule 23: Ponies must be registered before the date of the Show at which they qualify, except in the case of exhibitors who have never been members before who are allowed 7 days in which to become members and register their ponies, providing they have a valid J.M.B. certificate before the date of the Championship they qualify for. BSPS BEST RIDER This Show is a qualifier for the BSPS Best Rider of the Year. The Best Rider in Classes 139 - 144 will receive a Card and qualify for the final at the BSPS Summer Championships Show. BSPS CHALLENGE This Show is a qualifier for the BSPS Challenge. The highest placed pony in Classes 139 - 144 that have not qualified for the BSPS 2014 Horse of the Year Show in the appropriate Class will qualify. If the highest placed pony has already qualified for the BSPS Challenge, the qualification will be awarded to the next eligible pony. BSPS PREMIER LEAGUE This Show is a qualifier for the BSPS Premier League. Qualification will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th placed ponies in classes 139 - 144. BSPS CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS This Show is a qualifier for the BSPS Champion of Champions, the Champion Mini Show Pony and the Champion Open Show Pony will qualify. BSPS Open Mini Show Pony Championship open to ponies that have been placed first or second in the Open Lead Rein and Open First Ridden classes only. BSPS Open Show Pony Championship open to ponies that have been placed first or second in the Open Show pony classes only. SPECIAL PRIZES CHAMPION PRIZE - Commemorative 150th Anniversary Medal presented by the Association for the Best Animal in this Section. The Association presents a Perpetual Cup to the Champion in this Section. The Association presents £50 to the exhibitor of the Champion Animal. Ardmore Distillery presents a miniature of Ardmore Traditional Cask (in a tube) and a miniature of Teacher's Highland Cream to the Champion in this Section. J. Rennie & Sons Challenge Cup for Best Rider and Pony combined in Class 137. The Maitland Challenge Cup represented by A. Morrison for Best Rider and Pony combined in Class 138. |
