| SECTION 17 - FLOWER ARRANGEMENT Prize Money in each Class - 1st £10.00; 2nd £8.00; 3rd £6.00; 4th £4.00 Theme - 'Royal Connections' NOTE: NAFAS rules need not be adhered to - simply read the schedule carefully and pay particular attention to size and use of material. Classes 233-241 are open to all. Class 242 is for novices, Class 243 for secondary school pupils and class 244 for primary school pupils. • Space allocation for Classes 233-238 Height 3ft, depth 2ft, sizes approximate. • All exhibits to be composed of natural plant material (i.e. fresh, dried or preserved), unless otherwise stated. • Accessories are allowed only if specified. • Artificially coloured plant material may be used where appropriate.Class 233. 'A Royal Garden Party' An exhibit using natural material. Accessories permitted. Width 3ft. 234. 'A Picnic on the dee' An exhibit using natural material. Accessories permitted. Width 3ft. 235. 'The Royal Mile' A continental exhibit using natural material. Accessories permitted. Width 3ft. 236. 'Forest Walk at Balmoral' An exhibit using fresh foliage and natural material. Accessories permitted. Width 2ft.6in. Class 237. 'Bedazzled by Diamonds' A modern/abstract exhibit using no more than 5 artificial/silk flowers and artificial/silk foliage. Width 2ft. 6in. 238. 'A Three Layer Cake Fit for a Queen' An Exhibit using natural material. Accessories permitted. Width 2ft. 6in. 239. 'Glamorous in Gold' An exhibit using no more than 12 roses and fresh foliage. 240. 'A Family Toast' An exhibit in a sherry glass using natural plant material. Base permitted. Not to exceed 25cms in width, depth and height. 241. 'Eggciting' An exhibit in an egg cup using natural plant material. Base permitted. Not to exceed 10cms in width, depth and height. 242. 'Te4a with the Queen' An exhibit of plant material in a teapot. Novice Class for first or second time exhibitors in the Flower Arrangement Section at Turriff Show. 243. 'Sports Day' An exhibit in a trainer using natural plant material. Open to pupils attending a secondary school in June 2015. 244. 'Walking in the Rain' An exhibit in a child's welly boot. Open to pupils attending a primary school in June 2015. ADDITIONAL RULES FOR SECTION 17: 1. Exhibits can be staged in the Industrial Section of the Marquee from 5pm on Saturday 1st August to 9.30am on Sunday, 2nd August, 2015. 2. Please enclose name and address within an envelope and place envelope on the bottom left corner of the exhibit. 3. All Flower Arrangement entries must be made on the Entry Schedule, signed by the intending Exhibitor and returned to the Secretary not later than Saturday, 25th July, 2015. SHIELD and £5.00 presented by Turriff & District Flower Arrangement Society for Most Points in the Section. CHALLENGE TROPHY presented by Mrs A. Gray, Millhill, Fochabers, for Best Exhibit in Class 240. TROPHY presented by Mrs L. J. Mackay, Torfness, Markethill Road, Turriff for Best Exhibit in Class 241. QUAICH presented by Turriff & District Flower Arrangement Society for the Best Exhibit in Class 242. TROPHY presented by Turriff Town Pride Group for the Best Exhibit in Class 243.
