Veteran Horse Society REGIONAL FINAL - 2016 Second round qualifier for the Veteran Horse Society Supreme Final; VETERAN HORSE OF THE YEAR 2016 kindly sponsored by Allen & Page.
All competitors and grooms must adhere to VHS Rules in all circumstances. Failure to do so may result in immediate disqualification.Only fully qualified Members holding a signed VHS Show Registration Card to the current year.Members without this MAY NOT ENTER. The Steward or judge must be shown this when entering the ring.
VHS Supreme Final qualification. Competitors placed Champion and Reserve in each Championship will qualify for the corresponding class at the VHS Scottish Supreme Final to be held 25th September 2016 at Ingliston Equestrian. If a member has qualified for the Supreme Final they may enter other Regional Finals but qualification will be handed down the line on the day, no lower than 4th place.
Entries for the VHS Supreme Final must be made within 21 days of the qualification date by post or via the VHS website.
Any competitor qualifying from a specialists class from an area qualifying show, must enter their corresponding age category.
Young Rider Championship qualification. Qualification and rosette will be given to the young rider of the Judge's choice, entitling them to enter the Young Rider Championship at the Young Rider Supreme Final at Ingliston on 25th September. This award is given at the Judge's discretion.
• No galloping or spurs are permitted in the ring.
• Basic walk, trot and canter.
• Mark system will be generally: condition and movement in relation to age and turnout.
• Stallion handler or rider must be over 16 years.
• Turnout in accordance with breed.
• All competitors must be compliant with VHS rules and regulations.
• Qualification cards will be handed out in the ring at the time of presentation.
• The same veteran and handler / rider combination must carry qualification.
No exchange of horse or rider is accepted.
