Open to horses and ponies any breed or height. 197. Veteran,In-Hand (20-24 years). Open to horses and ponies any breed or height. 198. Pre-Veteran, In-Hand (15-19 years). Open to horses and ponies any breed or height. 199. Diamond Veteran,Ridden (25 years and over). Open to horses and ponies any breed or height. 200. Veteran, Ridden(20-24 years), Ridden. Open to horses and ponies any breed or height. 201. Pre-Veteran, Ridden. (15-19 years) Open to horses and ponies any breed or height. Veteran Horse Society - Qualifier 2018. This is a qualifier for the Veteran Horse Society Supreme Final;SCOTTISH VETERAN HORSE OF THE YEAR 2018 kindly sponsored by Allen & Page. Each VHS Affilliation in Scotland now holds a PRE-QUAL Supreme Final Qualification. There is no 2nd round - each show has the same qualifying status. Open to members and non-members. However, only members may go forward to the Championship of the Day. VHS Membership to be applied for no later than one week prior to this Show, to avoid disappointment. VHS Scottish Supreme (Pre-Judging) Final qualification. ONLY MEMBERS placed 1st to 2nd in each age category will go to the Veteran Championship of the Day. In all classes - if competitors placed 1st or 2nd are not members, qualification will be given to 3rd and 4th providing they are members. Qualification will not go lower than 4th place. If the Champion or Reserve has qualified then 2nd or 3rd Reserve may take qualification. All competitors and grooms must adhere to VHS Rules in all circumstances. Failure to do so may result in immediate disqualification. Champions and Reserves both In-Hand and Ridden must have their Showing Card signed by the judge in the ring as proof of qualification. This will qualify through the pre-judging of the Supreme.Competitors to present their Show Card to the judge for qualification. Should the Championship be combined, the top 2 Ridden and top 2 In-Hand go forward. Young Rider Championship qualification. A Young Rider rosette and qualification will be awarded to the young rider of the Judge's choice, entitling them to enter the Young Rider Championship prior to the Supreme Final. This award is given at the Judge's discretion. Non Members to receive an orange card.(In each Ridden Age Category). • No galloping or spurs are permitted in the ring. • Basic walk, trot and canter. • Mark system will be generally: condition and movement in relation to age and turnout. • Stallion handler or rider must be over 16 years. • Turnout in accordance with breed. • All competitors must be compliant with VHS rules and regulations. • Qualification cards will be handed out in the ring at the time of presentation. • The same veteran and handler / rider combination must carry qualification. No exchange of horse or rider is accepted. SPECIAL PRIZES CHAMPION PRIZE - A Champion Medal will be presented by the Association for the Best Veteran Horse or Pony in the Show. The Association presents a Perpetual Cup to the Champion in this Section. The Association presents £50 to the exhibitor of the Champion Animal. Ardmore Distillery presents a miniature of Teacher's Highland Cream to the Champion in this Section. Perpetual Trophy for Best Veteran In-Hand presented by M. Sivewright. |
