HORSES AND PONIES (TO BE JUDGED ON THE SUNDAY) EXTRA SPECIAL PRIZES Towns & Carnie Ltd presents £100 to the Overall Horse or Pony In-Hand Champion in the Show and £50 for the Reserve. Clydesdale Bank plc, Turriff, present a Perpetual Trophy for the Overall Horse or Pony In-hand Champion. A Champion Medal will be presented by the Association to the Overall Horse or Pony In-Hand Champion. Turriff Round Table present a Perpetual Trophy for the Reserve In-Hand. The Association presents a Championship Sash to the Overall In-Hand Champion Animal and Reserve. Norvite present vouchers to the value of £50 to the Overall Horse or Pony In-Hand Champion and £25 for Reserve. Robertson Crop Services presents £100 to the Overall Horse or Pony Ridden Champion in the Show and £50 to the Reserve. The Pirie Family present a Perpetual Trophy in memory of Gordon Pirie, Castle of Auchry, Cuminestown for the Overall Horse or Pony Ridden Champion. A Champion Medal will be presented by the Association to the Overall Horse or Pony Ridden Champion. Wesley and Margaret Simpson present a Perpetual Trophy for the Reserve Ridden. The Association presents a Championship sash to the Overall Ridden Champion Animal and Reserve. Norvite present Vouchers to the value or £50 to the Overall Horse or Pony Ridden Champion and £25 for Reserve. Ardmore Distillery presents a bottle of Teacher's Highland Cream in a presentation carton to Overall Horse or Pony In-Hand Champion and to Overall Horse or Pony Ridden Champion. The Sleigh family present a Perpetual Trophy in memory of Harry Sleigh, St. John's Wells, Fyvie for Champion of Champions (Cattle,Sheep, Clydesdale Horses. Sunday's Horse & Pony Champions are also invited to come forward). James Milne, Chartered Accountants present £300 to the Champion of Champions. Deveron Veterinary Surgeons present a Perpetual Trophy for Reserve Champion of Champions. Harbro Ltd, presents Vouchers to the value of £100 to the Reserve Champion of Champions. Sleigh Perpetual Trophy for Best Scottish Native Horse or Pony - Eriskay, Highland and Shetland breeds. Turriff Show is affiliated to the BSPS (No. 18-006) and all persons entering, competing,showing or otherwise taking part in BSPS Classes, whether or not members of the BSPS are subject to the Constitution and Rules of the BSPS including disciplinary procedures,and shall be deemed to have consented to the jurisdiction of the BSPS. The Qualifiers for the BSPS are stated following the relevant classes. This Show is a qualifier for:- NPS Scotland/Townhead Pet n Pony In-Hand Mountain & Moorland Championship. The Champion and Res. Champion in all Mixed pure bred M. & M. or Breed Championships will qualify for the Final which will take place at the Blair Castle International Horse Trials on Friday 24th August, 2018. Qualification may go to 3rd in the Championship (ie First Reserve Champion). NPS Scotland/Baileys Horse Feeds Open Ridden Mountain & Moorland Championship. The 2 highest placed ponies, not already qualified, in each class will qualify for the Final which will take place at the Blair Castle International Horse Trials on Friday, 24th August, 2018. Qualifications to go no lower than 4th place. This can be either mixed M. & M. or Breed Classes. NPS Scotland/Kilgraston School M & M Leid Rein and First Ridden Championship. The 2 highest placed ponies in the Lead Rein and First Ridden Class not already qualified will go forward to the final which will take place at the Blair Castle International Horse Trials on Friday, 24th August, 2018. Qualifications to go no lower than 4th place. NPS Scotland/NFU Mutual Open In-hand Riding Pony/Hunter Pony Championship. The highest placed pony, in each open in-hand Riding Pony or Hunter Pony Class (foal classes excluded) not already qualified, will qualify for the Final which will take place at the Blair Castle International Horse Trials on Friday 24th August, 2018. Qualifications to go no lower than 4th place. NPS SCOTLAND RULES 1. Ponies may only qualify once for each NPS Scotland Competition Final.Ponies that take a second qualifier for the same section will not be allowed to enter that final. 2. All Mountain & Moorland Ponies must be registered in the main body of their respective stud book. Part breds and X registered ponies, ponies in the appendices of their main stud book and Eriskays are not eligible. 3. Qualification in the M. & M. In Hand Section may go to 3rd in the Championship. All others may go to no lower than 4th place. 4. A Judge is not obliged to award an NPS Scotland Finals qualification if he/she feels that the pony is not of a sufficient standard 5. Closing Dates for Entries Competitors qualifying at Shows held before Monday 4th June 2018 must send their qualifying cards and entries in by Thursday 28th June, 2018. Shows after 4th June 2018 adhere to a closing date of 1st August 2018 and Late Entries will NOT be accepted.Competitors that qualify at late shows after the 1st August 2018 are required to email the secretary and send in the qualifying cards within 3 days of the Show,. 6. Cavasson nosebands are the only nosebands permitted in flat ridden classes. 7. Entry for the finals can only be made by sending the official card duly signed by the Judge at the time of qualifying with your entry form. 8. The OWNER must be or become a member of NPS Scotland before entering the Finals. 9. All ridden ponies must be shown off the lead lein except in the specified Lead Rein Qualifier Class. 10. In Mountain and Moorland classes riders of stallions must be 12 years old or over when riding small breeds (Shetland, Dartmoor, Exmoor, Welsh A & B). For large breeds (Highland, Fell, Dales, Connemara, New Forest, Welsh C & D) riders of stallions must be 14 years old and over. 11. A child must have attained their 12th birthday as of the 1st January in the current year to either strip or lunge pony at a NPS show, except stallions where age will be same as in the Rule Book to ride a stallion. 12. Handlers of stallions or colts must be 14 years old and over. 13. Handlers of ponies In Hand classes aged 14 years and under must wear a correctly secured skull cap/riding hat that meets the current standards. 14. The Final will take place at the Blair Castle International Horse Trials on Friday 24th August 2018. Caledonian Showing Championships The Caledonian Showing Championship Shows are now well established in the Showing calendar and will once again give 2018 competitors the opportunity to compete at a top level Championship Final in Scotland. Evening Performances, loads of bling and razzmatazz.....everything an end of season Championship should have! This year's show will be held at Highfield@Howe, near Ladybank, Fife - 13th/14th October 2018 This Show is a qualifier and every horse and pony placed 1st and 2nd in all Inhand, Ridden Showing classes (not fun classes) and Woprking Hunter/Pony Classes will qualify to compete in any appropriate class at the Finals. Qualification will be from placings, no qualification cards will be awarded in the ring, and no qualification can go down the line. Qualifivation is for the Horse and Pony except for adult/young handler classes, where the handler qualifies. All qualified horses and ponies will be listed on the Caledonian Showing Show's website www.caledonianchampionships.webs.com where you will also find a regularly updated list of qualifying shows as well as a wealth of other information. Ingliston Elite Showing Championship Series Ingliston Elite is a new prestigious, showing championship for Scotland and the UK. The Finals will be held within Ingliston Grand Slam, at Ingliston Country Club, Bishopton, Renfrewshire Saturday 22nd September 2018. Excellent prize fund of £350 for each final - 1st - 3rd £1000 to the overall Elite Champion... Winner takes all! Elite Hunters Elite Riding Horses Elite Cobs This show is a qualifier and every horse placed 1st to 3rd in all specified classes qill qualify to compete in the appropriate class at the Finals. Qualification will be from placings, no qualification cards will be awarded in the ring, and no qualification can go down the line. All qualified horses will be listed on the Ingliston Elite Show's page on our website www.ingliston.com/facebook page IF AN EXHIBITOR HAS ENTERED MORE THAN ONE CLASS AND THEY ARE BOTH BEING JUDGED AT THE SAME TIME A DECISION MUST BE MADE TO WHICH CLASS IS BEING ENTERED. NO CLASSES WILL BE DELAYED FOR EXHIBITORS TO ENTER BOTH. ALSO IT MUST BE CLEARLY STATED ON ENTRY FORM IF THEI PONY IS BEING SHOWN IN MORE THAN ONE CLASS. |
