EXTRA SPECIAL PRIZES Towns & Carnie Ltd presents £100 to the Overall Horse or Pony Champion in the Show and £50 for the Reserve. Clydesdale Bank plc, Turriff, present a Perpetual Trophy for the Overall Horse or Pony Champion. Turriff Round Table present a Perpetual Trophy for the Reserve. The Association presents a Championship Sash to the Overall Champion Animal and Reserve. Norvite present vouchers to the value of £30 to the Overall Horse and Pony Champion and £20 for Reserve. The Sleigh family present a Perpetual Trophy in memory of Harry Sleigh, St. John's Wells, Fyvie for Champion of Champions (Cattle, Sheep, Clydesdale Horses. Sunday's Horse & Pony Champion is also invited to come forward). James Milne & Co., Chartered Accountants present £300 to the Champion of Champions. Harbro Ltd, present £100 to the Reserve Champion of Champions. St. John's Wells Trophy for the Breeder of the Overall Champion - Cattle, Horses & Ponies, Sheep in Rotation (2013 - Horses & Ponies). Turriff Show is affiliated to the BSPS (No. 40S/13) and all persons entering, competing, showing or otherwise taking part in BSPS Classes, whether or not members of the BSPS are subject to the Constitution and Rules of the BSPS including disciplinary procedures, and shall be deemed to have consented to the jurisdiction of the BSPS. The Qualifiers for the BSPS are stated following the relevant classes. This Show is a qualifier for:- NPS Scotland/Scottish Farmer - Scottish Horse in Hand Mountain & Moorland Championship. The Champion and Res. Champion in all Mixed pure bred M. & M. or Breed Championships will qualify for the Final which will take place at the Blair Castle International Horse Trials on Friday 23rd August 2013. Qualification may go to third in the Championship (ie First Reserve Champion). NPS Scotland/Baileys Horse Feeds Open Ridden Mountain & Moorland Championship. The 2 highest placed ponies, not already qualified, in each class will qualify for the Final which will take place at the Blair Castle International Horse Trials on Friday, 23rd August, 2013. Qualifications to go no lower than sixth place. This can be either mixed M. & M. or Breed Classes. NPS Scotland/Kingfisher Building Products Mountain & Moorland Open WHP Championship. The 3 highest placed ponies, in each class not already qualified, will qualify for the Final which will take place at the Blair Castle International Horse Trials on Friday 23rd August, 2013. Qualifications to go no lower than sixth place. NPS Scotland/Kilgraston School M & M Lead Rein and First Ridden Championship The 2 highest placed ponies in the Lead Rein and First Ridden Class not already qualified will go forward to the final which will take place at the Blair Castle International Horse Trials on Friday, 23rd August, 2013. Qualifications to go no lower than sixth place. NPS Scotland/NFU Mutual Open In-hand Riding Pony/Hunter Pony Championship. The highest placed pony, in each open in-hand Riding Pony or Hunter Pony Class (foal classes excluded) not already qualified, will qualify for the Final which will take place at the Blair Castle International Horse Trials on Friday 23rd August 2013. Qualifications to go no lower than sixth place. NPS Scotland Rules. 1. Ponies may only qualify once for each NPS Scotland Competition Final. 2. All Mountain & Moorland Ponies must be registered in the main body of their respective stud book. Part breds and X registered ponies and Eriskays are not eligible. 3. Qualification in the M. & M. In Hand Section may go to third in the Championship. All others may go to no lower than sixth place. 4. For Novice classes. Ponies must wear a snaffle bridle and must not have won a first in an open ridden mixed M & M or breed class prior to January 1, 2013. Ponies that have won any 4, 5 and 6 year old class in the previous year are deemed open ponies and are therefore not eligible for the NPS Scotland Kilmannan Novice Final. An Open class is one for Registered Ponies that does not mention Junior, Novice, Intermediate, Lead Rein or 1st Ridden in its description. The description may or may not include the word Open. 5. Entry for the Finals can only be made by sending the official card duly signed by the Judge at the time of qualifying with your entry form. 6. The OWNER must be or become a member of NPS Scotland before entering the Finals. 7. All ridden ponies must be shown off the lead rein except in the specified Lead Rein Qualifier Class. 8. M&M Lead Rein Ponies, Mares or Geldings 4 years and over not exceeding 122cms. Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, New Forest, Welsh A and Welsh B. Rider under 9 years. 9. M&M First Ridden Ponies, Mares or Geldings 4 years and over not exceeding 128cms. Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, New Forest, Welsh A and Welsh B. Rider under 12 years. 10. Max. Height for HP/RP is 153cm or 15hh - foal classes excluded. 11. The Final will take place at the Blair Castle International Horse Trials on Friday, 23rd August, 2013. PLEASE NOTE: Horses and Ponies can be entered in more than one class. Judging starts at 9 a.m. except Working Hunter, Highland Ponies, Potential Ride and Drive, CHAPS and Shetland Ponies classes which start at 8.30 a.m. Large and Small Mountain and Moorland Ponies will be judged at approximately 10.00-10.30am once judging rings become available and Donkey classes at 11.45 a.m. If an exhibitor has entered more than one class and they are both being judged at the same time a decision must be made to which class is being entered. No classes will be delayed for exhibitors to enter both. ALSO IT MUST BE CLEARLY STATED ON ENTRY FORM IF THE PONY IS BEING SHOWN IN MORE THAN ONE CLASS. |
